"Lea-Anne" Anita (Lawson) Stevens

It is with great sadness the family of Lea-Anne Stevens announces her passing August 26th, 2018 at the age of 62 in Nanaimo BC, with her daughters by her side.  Lea-Anne was a daughter, wife, mother, Kiki (grandma), sister, auntie, cousin and friend to so many who will always cherish their memories.  She had an outgoing personality and a love of cooking that demonstrated that personality in her love of sharing recipes and meals with anyone lucky enough to sit at her table.  She was passionate, funny, and at times hilariously inappropriate and never once could be called boring.  Her wonderful ability to make a laugh out of anything was even more cherished and highly welcomed by her loved ones during her brief but very brave, courageous battle with cancer. 

Lea-Anne will be lovingly remembered by her husband Brian and children, Angela (Don), Jennifer (Matt) and Brodie; as well as her loving grandchildren Jordyn (Russ), Kyra (Gavin), Dylan and Nick. 

Lea-Anne is survived by her mother Elma, siblings, Bobby, Tracy, Michael, Andy, Melody, Joanne and Kenny.  She will also always hold a special place in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews including her beloved Carmen. 

                                                            Though her smile is gone forever

                                                            And her hand I cannot touch

                                                            I still have so many memories

                                                            Of the one I loved so much

                                                            Her memory is my keepsake

                                                            Which with I will never part

                                                            God has her in his keeping

                                                            I have her in my heart.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
