Alan Wall Obituary We miss your spirit of adventure, love of play, ability to fix anything, and willingness to help anyone. At the age of 73, Al peacefully passed away with his loving wife by his side, after a sudden and short fight with mesothelioma. He spent his last days surrounded by loving family and friends. Al is survived by his wife Meralyn, his children Amber (Jay), Sean (Andrea), and Justin (Trena); and his grandchildren Aimee, Juliet, Norah, Liam, Lily, Kessler, Maelai, Lacy, and April-May. He is also survived by his sister Shirley (predeceased by Charlie), brother GJ, and all his loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Hank and Claudia, his brother Ron (survived by Joan), sister Carol, and very close friend Wes. Al was an industrious man of integrity. He saw the needs of others and stepped in to fill them before he could even be asked. He had a talent for fixing absolutely everything and would willingly fix whatever people brought to him. Tender-hearted, he was easily teary-eyed at the mention of anything meaningful. Al loved deeply, and showed it by serving others. We would like to offer special thanks to the nurses and doctors who cared for Al throughout his battle with cancer. They helped us understand and navigate this difficult journey. A celebration of Als life will be held at Oceanside Community Church located at 1420 Alberni Highway, Parksville, BC on Sunday November 6th at 2:00 pm.
