Angela
Romanowski
February 6, 1945 – October 25, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Angela (Angie) Romanowski, who, after a courageous battle with cancer, left us peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Parksville, British Columbia, at the age of 80. Angie will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness, humour, and unwavering determination.
Born on February 6, 1945, in East York Toronto, Angie grew up in a very loving, supportive, and entrepreneurial home environment. After many cross-country moves with her parents and siblings, Angie eventually settled in British Columbia, initially in Kelowna, then to Vancouver Lower Mainland, and finally settling in Parksville on Vancouver Island.
Angie is predeceased by her mother Mildred (Millie) and father Arnold (Al) Staley. She is survived by her husband Raymond (Ray) Romanowski; siblings, Gail Slater, Terry Ferguson (Fred), Joanne Staley, and Larry Staley (Ruth); children, Shawn Lawler (Natalie), and Jason Lawler (Patty); grandchildren, Brent, Andee, Marina, and Matthew; and several nieces and nephews.
Angie was well known for her creative artistry which was vividly reflected first through her early years when she owned/operated a ceramics studio and where she created many striking pieces. In her later years and until her passing, and while managing the electrical/plumbing business she and husband Ray operated, Angie continued her artistic flare by designing and creating custom doll clothing that was well sought after from collectors throughout North America.
In lieu of a celebration of life and flowers, you are welcome to make donations in Angie's memory, to the BC Cancer Foundation.
Thank you, Angie, for all your years of wisdom, empathy and unconditional love, understanding and support that you have imparted onto all of us. Your words to live by, "Don't live life with regret, only lessons" will always resonate.
