Anna Spence Obituary Anna Lucia Spence, formerly Musto, nee Zappa died peacefully on June 10, 2023 in Parksville, BC.
Anna is survived by her children, Micheal, Robert, Dennis, and Sonia; her grandchildren, Kate, Micheal, Jennifer, and Gina; her great grand daughter, Zoe; and her siblings, Osvaldo, Maria, and Gabby.
Anna was born in Italy and immigrated to Canada as a new bride in the early 1950s. She raised a family with her husband, Mario, in Vancouver. After Mario passed away, Anna married Robert Spence, who also predeceased her.
Anna had an abiding love of family. Nothing made her happier than to be with family gathered around the table, the Christmas tree, or a barbecue. She was an adventurous cook, and an avid painter (oil paint only, if you please!), but the focus of her life certainly was her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter.
Mom, nonna, bisnonna, sorella, we love you. We will miss you always. And in the end, thats all that really matters.
"Weeks passed, and the little Rabbit grew very old and shabby, but the Boy loved him just as much. He loved him so hard that he loved all his whiskers off, and the pink lining to his ears turned grey, and his brown spots faded. He even began to lose his shape, and he scarcely looked like a rabbit any more, except to the Boy. To him he was always beautiful, and that was all that the little Rabbit cared about. He didnt mind how he looked to other people, because the nursery magic had made him Real, and when you are Real shabbiness doesnt matter."
