Bradley T.
Bell
August 18, 1934 – September 11, 2025
In Loving Memory of
Bradley Thomas Bell
1934 - 2025
Bradley Bell passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 11th, 2025, in Qualicum Beach, BC. Beloved husband of the late Wendy Bell, and father to Derek (Kim) Bell. Grandfather to grand children Payton and Cooper. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Brad started his life in Moncton New Brunswick, as a young man he began working as a surveyor in Newfoundland, then for Irving Oil in Saint John New Brunswick. In 1967 he moved his wife and son to Oakville, Ontario, and spent winters driving Derek all over Southern Ontario playing hockey.
During those years Wendy was fortunate enough to live close to her younger brother Ross (Carol) and work with them helping with their business in Oshawa. I think she relished having a glass of wine and the hot tub more than the work!
Dad & mom built a home in Grafton Ontario in 1990, where he & mom resided until 1996, when they made the decision to spend their next chapter in New Brunswick, residing within a short drive to mom's brothers Roger (Debra) and Rick (Beth), and their best friends Richard & Marilyn Peabody.
Being close to these people who were close to Mom's heart gave her great peace and happiness.
Dad would sometimes oblige mom and do as she asked. Sometimes...
I have fond memories of dad, my godfather Richard Peabody and myself riding dirt bikes on old gravel railroads in Ontario from the age of 12 until 16.
Brad was a founding member of the Northumberland Trail Riders dirt bike club in Grafton Ontario. It was there that his need to offer advice to others led him to become a founding member, signatory, trail builder and helped shape the club's destiny for several years. He loved riding and talking dirt bikes with Warren & Lorna Thaxter & Larry Curts among others.
Dad was always a private person and everyone who knew him understood his need to be particular & methodical in his approach to life.
He left on his own terms, deciding to end the pain and suffering he was enduring and to go look for mom.
One of my last words to him were; " if you see mom in heaven, she will ask you right away how you got in there"...that brought a smile to his face.
He told my wife Kim, as he walked down his hallway for the final time " I will see you, (with a dramatic pause) MUCH LATER ".
