Brian Deasey Obituary Husband of Carol (deceased) Father to Rob (Kirsten), Sandy (Riadh), Tom (deceased) and Tony (Sylvia). Grandfather to Graden, Jasper, Pearl and Adam. Brian was born in Manchester, England in 1937. Making the decision at the age of 16 to become a merchant seaman, he travelled the world from Algeria to Argentina to the Panama Canal and many places in between. When he landed in Vancouver, he knew he had found somewhere special and decided to immigrate with his young wife Carol. The two raised a family in West Vancouver before moving to Qualicum Beach in 1981. He continued to make bold choices in life, running both a Fish and Chip shop in West Vancouver and a motel (the Buena Vista) in Qualicum Beach with Carol. He also had a long career working on the BC Ferries, and was a lifelong supporter of the Manchester City Football (soccer) Club. He was a unique character and will be missed by those who knew him well.
