Campbell Craig Obituary In Loving Memory Of
Campbell Craig
1948 - 2024
Campbell Craig passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024 at the age of 76 years after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Lamlash, Scotland on April 27, 1948, the youngest of six siblings, and grew up at Hazelwood on the Isle of Arran. It was on Arran that he later met Carol, and they were married on November 29, 1974. On August 23, 1976, they moved to Canada, living first in Alberta before moving to British Columbia. Their two children were born on Vancouver Island, but were raised on an acreage in Oyama, BC, where Campbell and Carol lived for 18 years. They moved back to Vancouver Island when Campbell retired in 2013, settling in Qualicum Beach.
Campbell primarily worked as an auto mechanic, including running his own home business for several years. He finished his career in the automotive department at Okanagan College. However, he most enjoyed working in the garden, playing and listening to music, and water colour painting, and continued to pursue these activities during his retirement. He was an award-winning delphinium grower and sold herbs, vegetables, and flowers throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife Carol of Qualicum Beach, daughter Catherine of Revelstoke, son Collwyn (Katie) of Busan, South Korea, sister Fiona Wilson of Kirriemuir, Scotland, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no formal service, just a quiet family gathering.
