Carolyn Meade Obituary Celebrating the Life Of Carolyn Marie Meade Carolyn Marie Meade (nee Peterson) passed peacefully on November 18, 2023 at the age of 81 years. Carolyn is survived by her sisters Barbara Zek, Mary Pakaluko and Roberta Fitzgerald; her husband, Mike Meade; her sons Jason (Brandi) Carr and Chris (Jill) Carr, her children through marriage Michael (Shaeesta) Meade, Krystal Meade and Larissa Meade, her eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Carolyn was an active and passionate member of Alcoholic Anonymous beginning in Powell River, and later in life in Parksville/Qualicum Beach. Her long-term sobriety was a testament to her commitment to the AA program with 32 continuous years in recovery. But for the grace of God. She will forever be remembered for the things that she loved to do, as well as for the love that she spread to others through her kind gestures. While she may not be with us physically today, her gentle spirit will remain in our hearts forever. A celebration of live will be held Spring 2024. The family welcomes donations to the local SPCA as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
