Catherine Macpherson Obituary MACPHERSON, Catherine Sylvia January 25, 1941 January 23, 2020 It is with deep sadness the family of Catherine Sylvia Macpherson, formerly Babcock, nee Heuberger, announce her passing on January 23rd, 2020 following a brief illness. Mom was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister in-law, and wife. She was predeceased by her first husband Paul Babcock and second husband Jim Macpherson and grandson Reid Murray. Cathy retired in 1998 after a long career with RBC. Moms first love was always her family and friends. Nature, little animals, especially her little dog Bouqie gave her great happiness. Cathy was also an accomplished and passionate artist. She took great pleasure in her art clubs: DeCosmos, Vancouver Island Silk Painters, TOSH (The Old School House) and Qualicum Beach Seniors Center. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to: North Island Hospital Comox Valley, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital with special mention to the 5th floor medical ward, the nephrology department and palliative care. Mom received excellent care from the beginning to the very end and we are forever grateful. A private celebration of life with the family will be held at a future date.
