Daniel John Jefferson Dockendorff (89) died at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on

31 July 2025. Dan was predeceased by his parents,  Chesley and Hazel Dockendorff

and his brothers Sandy and Gerry.

He is survived by Heather, his loving wife of 52 years;

his children:

Kelly,

Tim,

Tracy (Jim) and their children, Curtis, Hailey (great granddaughter Sophia), Brandon

(Amanda),

Marti (Crystal), and their children, Elle, Violet, and Talia, and

Dan's sister Erma and his brother Larry (Georgie).

Known as "Unkie" or "Mr. D", and later as "Dear Old Dan", he enjoyed many different

work experiences through a very full life. He will likely be remembered by most as the

successful Qualicum Beach realtor with the infectious smile. His love for pets, his own

and those of friends, was memorable. And his message to Heather, "Love you all the

world," was never-ending.

The family wishes to convey special thanks to Dr. Clair Biglow, who was always there to

help, and to Dr. Akusha Wijayanayagam, Dr. Zeid Mohamedali, as well as the staff of

the fourth floor of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, all of whom provided special

kindness and care to Dan.

We are all visitors to this time, this place

To observe

To learn

To grow

To love

And then we return home.
