David Barrymore "Barrie" Davies

David Barrymore Davies, known to all as Barrie, passed away peacefully in Parksville, British Columbia, on July 14, 2025, after a sudden and courageous battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. He was 77.

Born in Haverfordwest, Wales, and raised in the coastal village of Solva, Barries early years were shaped by the rugged beauty of the Welsh countryside and the warmth of his family. He was the beloved son of Ronald Wynn and Joan Davies (both deceased).

Barries life was defined by his unwavering strength, tireless work ethic, and fierce love for his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Ann Davies; his son, Justin (and granddaughter Brooklyn); and his daughter, Keeley (with son-in-law Luke and grandchildren Sienna, Addison, and Dylan). Barries humour and resilience touched all who knew him, and his legacy of love and laughter will live on in his familys hearts. While we are heartbroken to say goodbye to him so soon, we are also filled with gratitude for the love and cherished memories we shared.

In keeping with Barries wishes, there will be no funeral service; however, a celebration of his life will be arranged at a later date. The family invites those who wish to honour his memory to consider a donation to brain cancer research, supporting causes close to their hearts.
