Donald Ramsay Eagle was born in Edmonton, Alberta, to the late Alexander and Jessie Eagle on October 5, 1941. Don passed away on January 15, 2026, at Nanaimo Hospital. He is predeceased by his younger sister Beth Olah.

Don worked for many years as a chartered accountant in Alberta and British Columbia until he retired in Parksville in 2016. He is remembered as being a quiet man with a gentle and calming presence, and a great sense of humour. He was a great lover of sunshine and enjoyed spending his time at the beach working on his tan. Don also had a great love for dogs and could often be seen walking his furry companion through Parksville during his retirement years.

Don is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bernice Eagle, his sister Barbara Saint, his daughters Donna Eagle, Debbie Savard (Donald), Sherri Wilson (Dave), and son Jade Eagle. Don also leaves behind his grandchildren; Krystal Savard, Shae Gregg (Tyrone), Kirsten York (Evan), Damon Wilson (Katie), Emily Bryant, Ashley Wilson (Jake) and Jade Jr. Eagle (Shay); his great grandchildren, Brezlyn Gregg, Torin Gregg, Kyler Gregg, Jordi Gregg, Lennon Wilson, Jaxson York, Jade Jr. Eagle and many other friends and relatives.

The family will be having a private memorial service in March at the beach where they share many precious memories of their father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
