Eileen Roberts Obituary In Loving Memory Of Eileen Roberts October 23, 1944 to November 28, 2024 The family of Eileen Roberts must sorrowfully announce Eileens passing recently due to complications of Congestive Heart Failure. She spent the last two years being cared for at home by her husband of 60 years, John. Eileen was a wife, mother of two daughters (Sandra, Lisa), Grandmother of six (Ann, Niall, Tara, Toryn, Aidan & Laura), Great-grandmother of one (James Jr.), sister and Aunt to family in Canada and England. Family was always her greatest pride and happiness. She was born, alongside her cherished identical twin sister (Barbara) into a working-class family in England and, over the years, had 5 other siblings (who, all but one, have predeceased her). Eileen immigrated to Canada in 1964 as a brand-new bride (leaving on a ship two days after marrying John). They started out in Ontario, where John had spent his teens, and where both her daughters were born. Then the family made a few moves westward until, in 1988, they finally settled in Qualicum Beach where she made friends, joined the Salvation Army church, and helped in the community. Even though she didnt consider herself crafty, she was often found on Monday afternoons with her friends learning crafts and sharing a cup of tea and a goodie or two. Her last few days were spent in the most wonderful care of Oceanside Hospice in Parksville. The family cannot praise the Staff and Volunteers at Oceanside Hospice enough for the kindness and attention given there. There will not be a public service. Donations in her memory can be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
