Elda Maureen "Mo" Ross

August 3, 1944-April 28, 2026

It is with sadness that the family of Elda Maureen "Mo" Ross announces her passing on April 28, 2026, in Qualicum Beach, at the age of 81.

Mo was predeceased by her parents, Myrtle and Eldon Hutchinson, and by her brother, Kenneth Hutchinson. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Alan Ross; her brother Terry Hutchinson; and her niece, Laurie Crawford.

Mo enjoyed a successful 25-year career with IBM Canada Ltd, with postings in Toronto and Tokyo. Throughout her life, she embraced adventure and new experiences, accompanying her husband to business assignments in Toronto, New York, and Kuala Lumpur. While living abroad, she shared her passion for health and wellness by teaching fitness classes for fellow expatriate wives.

In retirement, Mo devoted her energy and enthusiasm to many community activities and friendships. She spent several years as a proud member of the Abreast of Life Dragon Boat racing team and was an active golfer at Morningstar Golf Club. She also contributed many years as a set decorator with Echo Players Theater in Qualicum Beach.

Mo had a remarkable eye for home decorating and generously shared her creativity with friends and family alike. Her warmth, style, and artistic touch will continue to be reflected in the homes and hearts of those who knew her.
