Born in Brantford, Ontario, on April 15, 1947, Ellen's journey was one marked by warmth, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her beloved family and friends. Throughout her life, Ellen's kindness touched countless hearts. She was a musical soul who, after studying at the Royal Conservatory of Music at the University of Toronto, shared her passion as a cherished music teacher. Ellen extended her talents to Vision Arts Eye Care Centre, where she managed payroll with the utmost integrity and care. Above all, Ellen devoted herself to her role as a mothera role she considered her greatest accomplishment. Her loving husband, Dave Myrfield, of 55 years; sons Jeff and his son Reily, Alec with his wife Salima and their children Isla and Leon, Graham with his partner Naomi and his children Seth and Jude; and daughter Katie Myrfield, are testament to her extraordinary capacity to love and nurture. Ellen's zest for life was evident in her hobbies. She was the heart of every gathering, creating unforgettable moments through her cooking and hosting. Dancing, reading, and dining at nice restaurants brought her joy, but it was her ability to engage in profound conversations and listen empathetically that made her truly special. Ellen's legacy is one of true selflessness. Those who knew her were touched by her loving spirit, generosity, and kindnessa bright light in the lives of many. She faced her five-year battle with cancer with grace and courage, leaving a trail of beautiful memories for all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ellen Ruth Myrfield will be profoundly missed, yet her influence will continue to live on through the lives she shaped with her gentle words and her open heart.
