Ernest Messner Obituary MESSNER, Ernest Clarence October 18, 1932 - September 13, 2022. Ernie died peacefully with his wife of 61 years by his side. He leaves to grieve his death his wife Micheline, son Alan (Brenda) Errington, daughter Susan (Bradley) Calgary, his three grandchildren Robert, AJ and Benjamin and extended relatives in Ontario and Quebec. Ernie was born in Formosa, Ontario. He had a successful career with the RCAF. He spent most of his career in Ottawa and upon retiring spent the rest of his days in Errington BC. Ernie was a kind and gentle soul who loved life and especially spending time with his family. He adored his children, loved playing bridge and enjoyed traveling the world. The family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Lodge for their outstanding care and compassion for Ernie during the last years of his life. At Ernies request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
