It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of George. He died in Qualicum Beach peacefully asleep in the early morning of May 19th. He is predeceased by his father Allan, mother Alice, and brother Glenn. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Lynn; children Matthew (Karla) and Jennifer; his grandchildren Brittany, Violet, and Alice; his sister Barbara (Robert); niece Dawna (Bill), nephew Mark, and numerous cousins.
George Marvin Marshall was born and raised in Port Alberni. At a young age he became involved with the Pat Cummings School of Dance. It was there he discovered his life long joy of dance and theatre. This joy brought him to the Butchart Gardens Sunset Shows in Victoria, the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts, and numerous theatre productions in Port Alberni and Qualicum Beach. George did it all dancing, singing, acting, directing, choreography, and backstage work.
Georges entire family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Trillium Lodge Hospice, Stanford Seniors Village, and the Eagle Park Health Care Facility for all the care they provided. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to a charity of your choice serving the communities that George enjoyed so much.
A celebration of Georges life will take place on
Saturday May 27th at 5:30 pm in the Qualicum Beach Seniors Activity Centre, 703 Memorial Avenue, beneath the Quality Foods.
