Obituary

Graham Weatherby Obituary Graham Weatherby was the loving husband and soulmate to Christine Weatherby, who taught by love and example as a devoted stepfather to George and Nicholas Rigos. He loved his family and friends. He managed the Royal Kingston Curling Club in Kingston for many years and Parksville Curling Club after moving to Qualicum Beach, making many curling friends along the way. With his skills and perseverance, Graham built the foundation and workings of Purple Essentials, where he loved to connect with each customer, many of which became true friendships. He had a deep love of nature and animals, especially their black lab, Boomer. Grahams diagnosis of Glioblastoma changed their lives quickly however, it never changed his loving and caring ways. He recently wrote "I want to enjoy and celebrate our life together only gratitude." Graham passed away in the early morning of August 20th, in Nanaimo General Hospitals palliative care unit with Christine by his side. We will miss him and love him always, as he leaves us all better people for knowing him and experiencing his graciousness. Thank you to everyone who helped care for Graham during his final days. When you think of Graham, please remember his friendliness and humor, his handsome smile and his caring ways. In lieu of flowers, a donation to https://sunnybrook.ca/content/?page=about-gord-downie-fund-brain-cancer would be appreciated. A celebration of Grahams life to follow at a later date.
