Heather Anne
Fritz
December 29, 1956 – May 29, 2026
Heather Anne Fritz, born December 29, 1956, in Victoria, British Columbia, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved daughter of Percy and Patricia Barnes and the devoted wife of Ronald Fritz for 43 wonderful years.
Heather will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald; her daughter, Amanda (Mark), and her treasured grandchildren Sienna and Cole; her son, Travis, his wife, and her 3 cherished grandchildren; as well as her brother, Stephen, and her sister, Gillian. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great joy in watching it grow.
Heather grew up in the original Houlihan farmhouse in Gordon Head, where she created many cherished childhood memories that she carried with her throughout her life. Those early years helped shape her love of family, home, and community.
A woman of many talents and interests, Heather enjoyed a varied and successful career. She worked at Queens Printer and later with the Juan de Fuca Hospital Society. Always eager for new challenges, she transitioned into real estate, becoming a realtor with Remax, and later worked at Megson FitzPatrick. Her final career, however, was her true calling. As one of Victoria’s pioneering home stagers, Heather built her own successful staging business and poured her creativity, vision, and passion into every project. Helping others see the beauty and potential in a home brought her immense satisfaction. It was a career she loved deeply and one she was forced to leave far too soon because of her declining health.
Heather was a woman full of spirit who embraced life with enthusiasm, kindness, and strength. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life and had a special ability to make those around her feel welcome and loved.
The last decade of her life was spent in Qualicum Beach, a place she truly cherished. There she enjoyed her beautiful home, the beauty of the ocean and surrounding nature, and the many wonderful friendships she formed. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, laughter, resilience, creativity, and vibrant personality.
Heather’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Stay strong, little hummingbird, and we will meet again somewhere over the rainbow.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Georgina Bell, who, as Heather’s friend, took her on as a patient at a most crucial time. Special thanks are also extended to Jackie and Richard Allen for their countless hours of friendship, compassion, and care during Heather’s final days.
A private family memorial gathering will be held in August to celebrate Heather’s life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice in Heather’s memory.
Forever loved, forever remembered.
