Obituary

Helen Pehowich Obituary With deep sadness, family and loved ones announce the passing of Helen Pehowich on April 19th, 2020. A resident of Qualicum Beach for the past eighteen years. Born in Iffley, Saskatchewan on the family farm in 1920. She was the last of her generation of the Policha family to pass. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband Joe of 66 years, infant son David and daughter-in-law Enid Pehowich. Her love of family, cooking and entertaining were foremost in her heart. She was well loved and lived a full and rich life. She is remembered for her strength, courage, kindness, devotion and love of curling. In addition, Helen was was also an avid and determined shopper, even into her 90s and well known in Qualicum and Parksville for her stylish flair. She will be lovingly missed by her sons Wayne, Dan and John (Laverne). Grandchildren David (Natalie), Nathan, Jonathan (Heather), Meghan (Tom), and great grandchildren Ethan,Katerina, Jalen, Mason, Riley and Hailey. Several nieces and nephews also mourn her loss, in particular Sandra Taylor, Alayne Stewart, Lyn Policha and Linda Gulinosky. The family would like to thank the staff of The Gardens Windsor Wing for their care and kindness as well as Dr. Dalla Lana and Dr. Sulz. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with internment in Edmonton.
