James Dell Obituary DELL, James (Jim) Sidney James Sidney Dell, known to friends as "Jim", passed away on October 2, 2019, at the age of 80. Jim was born on June 14, 1939 in St. Thomas, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and received his MBA from the University of Ottawa in 1978. He spent most of his career at Bell Canada in Ottawa before retiring to Parksville, British Columbia in 1998. Jim was an avid skier, cyclist, runner and hiker who loved to travel. He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Sidney Dell. Jim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bonnie Mardis; children: Cheryl (John), Laureen (Marc) and Colin (Heather); grandchildren: Samantha, Alexandra, Justin and Evan; and former wife, Carol. No memorial services are planned at this time.
