Jan passed peacefully in the Palliative Care Ward of Nanaimo Hospital May 31 in the Company of her loving husband Rich, only daughter Alison and sister Gayle Good. She suffered a stroke May 28th and rested peacefully in the hospital under the most extraordinary care of the palliative care nurses, Corinne, Roma, Ellen, Stephanie and Rachel. Jan is now at rest with the God that she challenged many times but always knew loved and pursued her. Born in Port Alberni, Jan grew up in Nanaimo and spent the happiest and final 15 years of her life in Qualicum Beach where she had lived for 5 years in early childhood. Jan had a huge heart for the less fortunate in our community and devoted a lot of time and effort to doing what she could to help. Jan is survived by her husband of 41 years Rich, only daughter, and light of her life, Alison Dunatov and husband Stefan and grandchildren Ben and Alex and her sister Gayle Good.
