John Brossoit Obituary John Jacque Brossoit, at the age of 59, peacefully passed away on the morning of June
5th at Eaglepark Care Facility in Qualicum, BC after a long but courageous battle with
Multiple Sclerosis. Predeceased by his parents, Jean-Guy & May. He is lovingly
remembered by his four children; Tatiana, Kyle, Laurent & Alejandra. As well as his
grandchildren; Lennon & Ziggy, his brothers; Neil, Kelly (Michelle) and Roger (Tina) and
his nieces and nephews; Kayla, Courtney, Karysa, Ayden, Ryland and Kaysen.
John was born in Port Alberni, BC on May 30, 1964. The oldest of four boys. He spent a
lot of his life in Port Alberni where he raised his children with ex-wife, Tania. For many
years, they were the family with the pool on Haslam Drive. John's addiction to
unimpressive nickname giving and cannon balls were enough to entertain his kids until
they were old enough to be embarrassed by the same antics that used to win them
over. Nonetheless, embarrassing them seemed to give him even more joy.
John managed various Safeway locations on Vancouver Island, often driving hours to
and from different locations to move his way up the company ladder. Once an
opportunity arose at a grocery store in Surrey, John took advantage and relocated the
family to the Lower Mainland.
John loved Music, Hockey and going for bike rides. Even when his body started to fail
him, at no point did he quit doing what he loved. He had a powerful motivation to do the
things people told him he couldn't; right until the end.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Eagle Park Care
Facility for the care they provided as well as Kelly and Michelle, his brother and sister in
law, who sacrificed an immeasurable amount of time, effort and emotion from their lives
to fight for any chance at prolonging John's ability to live a normal life.
The Family will have a celebration of life at a later date, details to follow
