John Larkin Obituary It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Francis Larkin on June 18, 2024, at Nanaimo General Hospital, at the age of 78. John is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Edith Larkin, and brother Kevin Larkin. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy, and his cousins Alex Larkin (Debbie) Manchester, and Leslie Larkin (Barbara) Kamloops. His stepdaughter Jennifer Wallace (Andrei), stepson Chris Wallace (Stephanie), and lovely grandchildren, Connor and Addison. John completed his apprenticeship for Pacific Press in the early sixties and worked as a Printer/Compositor for the Vancouver Sun/Province newspaper. He retired in 1997 and moved to Summerland BC. He and Kathy married in 2004 and fulfilled a lifelong dream of moving to beautiful Qualicum Beach, in 2022. John enjoyed golfing, exploring the island with his camper, and fishing with his faithful dog, at his side. John valued his friendships, was a loving husband, mentor, and always a gentleman.
