Judith (Judy) Fisher Obituary In Loving Memory Of Judith (Judy) Violet Alice Fisher (nee McPhail) February 5, 1949 August 27, 2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Fisher of Parksville, BC, at the age of 75 on August 27, 2024. Leaving to mourn are many family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Alexander (Alec) and Lillian McPhail, her sister, Susan Lopez as well as the love of her life, her husband, Gary Fisher, in January of this year after 53 years of marriage. She is survived by her children Blair Fisher (Shawna) of Brentwood Bay, BC, and Cindy Graham (Donald) of Prince George, BC, her 5 beloved grandchildren Calla Fisher, Alec Graham, Riley Graham, Julia Fisher and Clark Graham. She also leaves her sister-in-law's, Donna (Fred) Dizig of Ajax, Ontario, and family, and her sister-in-law, Patricia Fisher, and family of Strathmore, Alberta. Judy grew up in Montreal, Quebec, and moved west to Burnaby in 1967 with her parents. Gary followed her west and they were married in 1970 and raised their family in Burnaby and Brentwood Bay, BC. She worked as a hairdresser until she had children when she prioritized making a home for her family. They moved to Qualicum Beach and Parksville where they split their remaining years between Parksville and Yuma, Arizona. Mom enjoyed and was an avid curler in both mixed doubles and with her ladies teams in the Victoria area and then in Parksville. She volunteered her time willingly to run the concessions for the Peninsula Lacrosse Association and Central Saanich Little League for many years. Mom and Dad loved dancing together and this was very important to them whether out at an event or simply in the kitchen together. She is now reunited with her dancing partner. Thank you to all her friends throughout Canada and in Arizona for their love and support during this past year. Our families really appreciate it and an extra thank-you to Moms long-time friend, Sue Omstead for her support during Moms last days. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date to take place in the Spring of 2025 in Parksville.
