June Shafi Obituary The Shafi Family would like to share the passing of our Matriarch, June Alice Shafi. June was born August 24th,1940 in Northampton, England. She was predeceased by her parents Fred, Beatrice (Roy) Eden and older brother Roy Eden. June is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Mohammad (A.K.A. - Mo) and children Susan and John along with daughter-in-law Rosalind and grandchildren Neil and Jasmin. June had been living on a kidney donated by her brother back in the mid fifties. She had many other health issues including High Blood Pressure and Diabetes among others. Ultimately she succumbed to the lack of Kidney function and the infections that resulted. June and Mo immigrated to Canada back in the mid 60's. She always had a huge smile and kind words for everyone she ever met or greeted. June was a woman of great strength and patience. When times were tough, she would work two jobs in order to be able to buy the little extras for her family. If there was a problem, June not only was a sympathetic ear but would share sage advice to help you overcome your problems. She had patience and love for everyone and life itself. I never heard a disparaging word about anyone from Mum my entire life. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. Cheers Mum and R.I.P.!
