Lorna passed away unexpectedly while a patient in Emergency, Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She was born in Drumheller, Alberta, to Hazel (nee Greenaway) and William (Bill) Morton. Lorna was predeceased by her father in 1994, her brother Thomas (Tom) in 2006, and her mother in 2012. She is dearly missed by her sister, Susan (Jim) Paterson of Qualicum Beach.

Although life was not always easy for Lorna, she was tough. Family was always very important to her. She was sentimental, kind, and caring, and was her mother's caregiver for many years. Lorna enjoyed doing word search puzzles, feeding the ducks, listening to music, and visiting thrift stores. She was a collector of many things, but was a particularly serious and avid collector of pins, as witnessed by her extensive collection. She had a great memory and could be relied on to remember names and events when others couldn't. Lorna was loved and will be missed.

Lorna's final resting place is with her brother at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.
