Lorraine Moore Obituary Lorraine Meryl (Indridason) Moore passed away peacefully on October 30, 2020 at her home in Parksville, British Columbia at the age of 92. Born in Kandahar, Saskatchewan, Lorraine completed her schooling in Saskatchewan and then Business College in Winnipeg. After graduating college and working in Regina for a couple of years, she followed her family out west to Vancouver in 1952. There she met her husband, Donald Stuart Moore, whom she married in 1954. Lorraine and Don spent many happy years in their home in West Vancouver with winters in Maui, and eventually moved to Parksville after Don's retirement. Both Lorraine and Don shared a lifelong love of animals, generously supporting their local SPCA and many other animal causes. Over the years, they provided a caring home to several beloved pets, most recently cat Riley who held a special place in Lorraine's heart. After 65 years of marriage, Lorraine was a devoted caregiver to Don before his passing in 2019. Lorraine will be remembered for her gentle but tenacious spirit and her sense of humour which made her a favourite among her care aides. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
