Beloved friend, wife and mother. Born in Leeuwaarden, Holland, Maartje moved to Canada in 1952. She was a nutritionist, successful businesswoman and served the developmentally handicapped with distinction. She was warm and kind, loved God and made lifelong friends wherever she went. She is survived by daughters Thea (Cam) and Femmie and sons Jay and Ray. Our thanks to Trillium Lodge and to Dr. Waite and his staff for their amazing compassion and care. Her Memorial Service will be held at Qualicum Beach Community Baptist Church on Thursday April 11th at 2 PM.
