Maralyn Lind Obituary Maralyn Lind, age 82, passed away Monday October 30, 2023 in Courtney, BC with her devoted husband Gary by her side, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Vancouver in April 26, 1941 to the late Cyril and Edith (Lumsden) Chauncey. Maralyn was predeceased by her youngest sister Dorothy Newcombe. She is survived by her loving husband Gary Lind, sister Grace (Ed) Nikander of Arizona. Beloved Mother of Dan (Robbin) Dietterle, Bill (Shannon) Dietterle, and Doug Dietterle of Manitoba. Maralyn leaves behind a lasting legacy in her grandchildren Amanda, Lauren, Ashlyn, Lydia, Juleanne and Colton. As well as her eight great grand children. They meant the world to her and her time with them was precious. Mom loved Jesus, was strong in her faith and loved helping others. She exemplified her love through a long career as a practical nurse, serving in her church and volunteering for many years in various ministries. Mom made many good friends over the years from Prince George to Winnipeg to Kelowna and Vancouver Island. A Celebration of Life will be held at Island Gospel Centre 90 McColl Road, Bowser BC on November 18, 2023 at 1:00. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the support in her final days to her many friends who visited her and to the excellent care she received at Ocean Front Village Hospice Care.
