Marion Beckingham Obituary Sophia Marion (Myionne) Beckingham was peacefully called home on Friday February 2, 2018 surrounded by a loving and caring community at Evergreen Seniors Home in Campbell River British Columbia. From the time of her birth on May 2, 1918 in Fort Coulage, Quebec she nourished people around her with faith, love and sharing. Her love of nourishing brought forth her cooking expertise which she parlayed into a career as a restaurant owner and chef. Although she worked in many well known establishments, she counted her favorite places to work in Campbell River as the Haida Inn, with Mrs. Martin, Donna, Carol, Janice, David, Trygby and the rest if the gang at the hotel and the Campbell River lodge with Ted and Sharon Arbor. Predeceased by Joseph David Beckingham, her loving husband of fifty two years, her daughter Linda Hartz, and sons Walter, Ray and Albert Beckingham. Lovingly remembered by her family, Doris (John) Hunnicutt and Edward Beckingham of Thunder Bay Ont., Norman Beckingham of Vancouver BC, and Anna Marie Beckingham of Campbell River BC, her sister Lauria Raucourt of Campbells Bay, Que., daugther-in-law Betty Beckingham of Thunder Bay Ont., several nieces, nephews, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a few great, great grandchildren and her beloved dog Bozo. Marion was member of St Patrick"s Parish of Campbell River for over fifty four years. Special thanks to the church volunteers and Father Jan who made sure communion and mass were available, to all who assisted in moms care in the community and at the New Horizons and Evergreen Seniors Home. She especially loved sitting in the garden at Evergreen with the roses, and her visits from Bozo. A life well lived mom. We love you and we miss you. Until we meet again.
