Marjorie Wile Obituary In Loving Memory Of Marjorie Faye Wile September 28, 1939 February 14, 2025 Sadly, Marjorie Faye Wile passed away on February 14, 2025 in Parksville, BC, where she was surrounded by the love and care that she so generously offered throughout her life. Affectionately known as Faye, she was born in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Faye was a daughter of her Swedish immigrant Mother Agda Olsson and first-generation Father Einar Erickson, whose pioneering spirit and strength were deeply instilled in her character. Faye was predeceased by her dear son Dennis in 2012 and her beloved husband Brian, who preceded her just weeks before on January 11, 2025. She leaves behind her devoted daughter Corinne, her sister Linda and husband Stacey, sister Marlene, whose husband Glen predeceased her, and brother Verne and his wife Sharon. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces Christine (Steve), Michelle (David), and Danica (Derek), her nephew Darryl (Ashaun), together with many other nieces and nephews and cherished friends. A dedicated student, Faye's academic journey was marked with distinction as she excelled in high school, especially within the school band where she played the drums, and obtained numerous awards for her academic achievements. Following graduation, her passion for helping others led her to St. Josephs School of Nursing in Victoria, where she obtained her registered nursing degree. Faye's professional life was a testament to her resilience and poise. Her tenure as a nurse and later as a head nurse was marked by an unwavering focus and character that saw her through the most challenging situations. Colleagues knew her for her cool demeanor under pressure and her quiet, steady determination that made her a beacon of trust and reliability in her field. Her life was a canvas of diverse interests, a reflection of an intelligent, kind, and creative spirit. Faye had an infectious love for laughter and found joy in jokes and silliness. She approached the world with a genuine sense of wonder, keen to understand how things worked and to stay abreast of current affairs. Faye expressed her creativity through poetry, crafting haiku that captured the essence of life's fleeting moments. She was a voracious reader and was always solving crossword puzzles. Faye cherished her friendships with a loyal heart and safeguarded confidences with the utmost integrity. As a mother, Faye selflessly gave everything, expecting nothing in return. A loyal partner to her husband Brian and a nurturing mother to Dennis and Corinne, she always ensured the comfort of others, often with the subtle act of choosing the broken piece of pie for herself. Her generosity of spirit will remain a cherished memory for all who knew her. Faye's final months were spent at Arrowsmith Lodge in Parksville, where she received exceptional care from the staff and carers. In a tender farewell, Faye was laid to rest alongside her husband Brian during a private burial in March 2025, in Cranbrook, BC. Rest in peace, Faye. Your absence is felt deeply, and the elegance of your spirit will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known you.
