Marlene Grace Arseneau
January 19th, 1943 September 10th, 2024
Marlene Grace Arseneau, aged 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 10th, 2024, in Qualicum Beach, B.C after a heartbreaking battle with dementia.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory long-term partner Bill, daughter Tracy (Dan), Bills son Dale, grandson Lucas (Taylor), brother Ross (Judy), nieces Sherri (Randy), Teresa (Russ) and Leahann, nephew Tyler (Angie), great nephews Myles and Cameron, great niece Kimberlyn, and many many good friends. She is predeceased by her mother Grace, father Wilfred, sister Shirlene (Phil), son in law (Julian) and niece Crystal Dawn.
Marlene was born on January 19th,1943 in Prince Rupert, B.C. where she raised her family and was involved in many activities including opening and running a bookstore named after her niece, Crystal Dawn. She moved to Nanaimo, BC in 1978 to start a new life along with her best friend Shirley.
She enjoyed spending time working with flowers and plants, listening to country music and was an excellent seamstress. She loved to prepare wonderful meals and teach her grandson her many baking specialties. She liked to travel to the warm weather but did not like going in the water very much. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to scatter her ashes.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Marlene's memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC or the BC SPCA.
