Obituary

Myron French Obituary Myron's joy-filled journey through this life likely pales in comparison to the homecoming in heaven, which he embraced with open arms and open heart. Embraced now by perfect love, his loves in this life Adam and Malena; Shea and Taryn, Taylor, and Mary Lynn (his wife). The sweet sorrow of now saying 'see you later' is perhaps shared by many more, too many to name. Family, friends, folks from far-flung places. Sometimes he remembered those names, always he remembered their faces. Myron's enthusiasm for everything led him sometimes into harrowing and humbling spaces. Called to teach in Brandon, Manitoba, his signature style touched students without disrespecting their desires. Myron's projects kept him percolating as he inevitably began every day with a hearty breakfast of a sweet, white coffee and a handmade cigarette; hummin a nameless tune. Myron never stopped teaching others as he lived out what it looks like to trust your God wholeheartedly to his final breath. Myron made us believe in miracles again, as he held our hearts and hands through valleys and over mountains for over 78 years! Myron claimed he'd 'sleep when he's dead'; if you listen closely to the sounds of nature, perhaps you too will hear his soft sigh of sleepy contentment today. We miss you already Myron; and your coffee's still warm! we'll bring it along when we meet again in the beyond. Forever French Family Who is the angel now, I wonder? As I walk this beach of beauty Hear the surf and taste the sea I am silenced by the sunshine And the hold you have on me Then just beyond my vision There appears a distant blow As I walk toward in wonder As deep within I know We've been walking on this beach now Every morning for a while Yet there hasn't been a touch shared As I step onward with a smile There's a meeting place for resting A spot to sit and soothe one's soul On some drift wood just ahead now I see you waiting to be whole Every step now brings me nearer So close now I can hear I can hear the melody you're singing Coming to me crystal clear My heartache lifts it's wings up And leaves me light as air Freeing me to soar In graceful tear-soaked prayer The glow I see is fire, burning warm Inviting me to come nearer to it's circle Dropping stresses in the sea That fire is love compelling Burning for eternity Drawing me into the arms of He you made and sent to me So here I am surrendering to the feelings As they flow Knowing I am loved completely No matter where I go The ocean vast and churning Where I cast away my cares Now settles into silence As I journey on these shores You - my valentine - mean the world to me You - my valentine - are the light of my life.
