Patricia June
Singer
Mar 11, 1949 — Oct 4, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia (Pat) Singer on October 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Pat will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her family and friends near and far. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; her sister, Maureen (Gary); her brother, Daniel (Cleone); her son, Thomas (Carolyn); her daughters, Bernice, Susan, and Rebecca (Chris); six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Claudia and Kathleen.
Pat was born on March 11, 1949, in Smithers, BC, and was raised in Houston, BC, where she later chose to raise her own children with her first husband, Tom. Pat’s greatest passion and pride were her 4 children.
Pat spent her career in public service, working in forestry, as a government agent, and with BC Parks in communities throughout British Columbia. Her love of the outdoors and nature was a defining part of her life. She had the opportunity to work with BC Parks, including managing South Tweedsmuir Park from Bella Coola, as well as working with Parks in Chilliwack and Smithers.
Anyone fortunate enough to hear her play the piano will remember her beautiful music, and she also had a lovely singing voice. She shared her gift of music by singing at church and weddings.
Pat was a certified dog trainer and also boarded dogs. Her love for animals, especially her own dogs, was unconditional. She cherished Nicki, Bridget, Crystal, Jenny, Finn, Niko, Chika and Phryne, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
After retiring, Pat and Dennis moved to their 100-acre property in Colleymount, on the north shore of Francois Lake. There, they embraced the rural life and raised sheep, chickens, turkeys, and pigs. Pat loved Colleymount and the life they created there so much that it is fitting that a celebration of her life will be held in Colleymount next May.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to the incredible nurses, doctors, volunteers, and the MAID team at Oceanside Hospice. Their compassion, kindness, and care brought comfort and dignity to Pat and her family during her final days. Their support will never be forgotten.
Pat leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, music, family, animals, and the beautiful places she called home. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
