In Loving Memory of Dad

Always kind, giving and loving, Dad had a wonderful sense of humour. His laughter and grin were infectious, and his wink could melt mountains. Always a good provider for his family, he took the brave step of bringing us to Canada in the early 1970s from England, where he left behind a well-established business and a very large extended family who loved him dearly. That was Dad; always looking for something better for us all. Early on he enjoyed bird watching; hunting, beating and loading; travelling; new experiences, and he loved his dogs dearly. Later in Canada he enjoyed puttering in his workshop, shed and garden, always doing something to keep busy. He was proud of his time in the Royal Air Force in England, so became a long-time bar manager with the Legion in Lantzville where he met many friends. He was much loved by the care staff at Wexford Creek Seniors Care Home where he lived out his last several years. He was often determined, sometimes challenging, but always an "English Gentleman" with hands as big and soft as his heart

Predeceased by his wife Margaret and several family members in England, Dad is survived by his daughter Helen (husband Brad, grandson John), daughter Claire (husband Calvin, grandson Nick, granddaughter Sarah), and son Christopher (wife Christine) as well as by the good friends that he met along the way.

Rest in peace and power Dad. You are very much loved and you will be missed more than you will ever know.
