Roy Hennig passed away peacefully at St. Pauls hospital in Vancouver on June 3rd at the age of 63. Roy is lovingly remembered by his wife Connie, son Nicolas, daughter Alexis, brothers David (Donna) and Jerry (Gail), brothers and sisters in-laws Bill (Julie) Schissel, Bernard (Wendy) Schissel, John (Jackie) Schissel, Don (Betty) Schissel, Cathy Schissel (Marlea Clarke) and numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was predeceased by his parents Art and Marvelen, in-laws Jerry and Albina Schissel and sisters-in-law Marie Hennig and Sheila (Ralph) Wegener. Roy was born in Edmonton, Alberta on Dec 22, 1953 and grew up on his parents farm where he learned his work ethics. In 2006, Roy retired to his acreage at Spider Lake, BC after 30 years in Calgarys Oil and Gas Industry. He was a hard working and dedicated employee and a fair and kind manager whose humor was much appreciated by his co-workers. Though work was important to Roy, and where he forged many lasting relationships, he always put his family before work. His best friend said of him recently, he was the kindest and funniest man that he knew. A Celebration of Roys Life will be held outdoors at Roy and Connies acreage on Saturday June 24th at 1 pm. Street Parking with shuttle service will be provided. Informal casual dress recommended.
