Obituary

Shirley Clayton Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Margaret Clayton (nee Mogg) on October 6th, 2022. She passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of 60 years, John Clayton and their children, Gerry Clayton (Leanne), Kym Clayton (Peter), Kelly Clayton (Lance) and adopted daughter, Julie Hoschka (Ken). Also missing her immensely are her grandchildren, Geoff, Rick (Jolene), Tia (Kelsey), Blair, Destinee, and Nonda (Jessica), great grandchildren Zak, Kiera, Oaklan, Emerald, Kaydence, Rylee, and Ricky along with her 3 loving sisters Charlene, Lorraine, Valerie and other extended family. Shirley was 4th generation pioneer, born in Chilliwack BC on March 26th, 1946. It was there that she met and fell in love with her lifetime partner John when she was 14 years of age. Shirley loved thunderstorms, camping, and just sitting at the beach staring at the waves and enjoying the sounds of the ocean. She was a true giver and protector. Always willing to help anyone who needed it and did so with zero judgement. She would welcome everyone with open arms. She was very devoted to her family. You would always find her on the side lines cheering on her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids no matter what activities they were involved in. She was "that parent" that always volunteered to help and chaperoned many events throughout the years. Many affectionately referred to her as Mrs. C, the neighbourhoods second mom. Our world wont quite be the same without her in it, but the impact she left on all of our lives will live through her family for many years to come. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Trillium Hospice for their extraordinary care. "REST PEACEFULLY MAMA BEAR"
