It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Richard Collins, who passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 70.

Stephen was born on June 2, 1956, in Balham, London, England. In 1990, he made the journey across the ocean and emigrated to Canada, where he built a life filled with family, friendships, laughter, and countless memories.

Stephen dedicated many years to a long and successful career in auto body repair, a trade he took great pride in. Outside of work, he had a love for golf, fishing and was an exceptionally talented darts player. Outside of his hobbies or career, it was the person Stephen was that people will remember most; his ability to make everyone laugh and feel comfortable, he loved a good joke!

Stephen leaves behind his three beloved daughters, Natasha, Rebecca, and Olivia Collins, who will carry his memory and love with them always.

He will also be deeply missed by his sister, Anne Macleod, and his brothers, John Dowsett and Dean Dowsett, along with his extended family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Stephen’s life was measured not only in years, but in the people he touched, the laughter he shared, and the memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten!

A celebration of life will be held at Arrowsmith golf course on Thursday, September 10th, from 2-4pm.
