Valerie Saunders Obituary Val passed away peacefully at The Gardens on September 24. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bill and is survived by her niece, Maureen Sheard (Fred) and her nephew, Peter Jasper (Michelle). From a very young age she had a love for horses which continued throughout her adult life. She was an active member of the Knox United Church in Parksville where she and Bill resided until the time of his death. Then she moved to Centre Road, Qualicum Beach, where her house was filled with her beloved pets. Val later moved into the town of Qualicum Beach for a few years before moving into Origin in Nanaimo where she met many new friends and enjoyed her time spent there. Then the time came for Valerie to move back to Qualicum and live at the Gardens where she was well cared for until the time of her death. We wish to thank The Staff on The Third Floor for the kindness given to Val during the time she resided there.
