Audrey Elizabeth (Betty) Hill, born in Toronto. 1928 - 2020, of Qualicum Beach. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Hill. Daughter of the late Samuel Milliken Wilson and Rebecca Charlotte (Ruby) Johnston Wilson. Predeceased by her sister Margaret Chisholm of Toronto and her brother Robert Samuel Wilson of Toronto and Owen Sound. Much loved Aunt of Margaret Bishop of Victoria, Ronald Chisholm of White Rock, Gary Wilson of Penticton, Kathryn Wilson of Toronto, and Charles, Rosemary, Susan, and Steven Hill.
Betty loved gardening, the arts, all dogs, playing a game of cards with her friends, the music of Louis Prima and Keely Smith, and especially Rod Stewart. Betty and Stan lived in Bermuda, Scotland, Belleville, Ontario; Carrying Place, Ontario; Toronto, Vancouver and Qualicum Beach. From the cottage in the Haliburton Highlands at Eagle Lake to sailing the Wee Ark on the calm waters of the Bay of Quinte, Betty and Stan were much loved by family and friends, and their home was often filled with much warmth and good cheer. Donations in memory of Betty can be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or the charity of your choice. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date in Qualicum Beach when we can all gather together. Details will be announced.
