Evgeny Melnikov

Evgeny Melnikov, 33, passed away unexpectedly on February 1 2023. He was born on Wednesday December 12 1990 and grew up in Omsk, Russia. Evgeny was the youngest of two sons. Evgeny moved to Canada in 2006 with his family and nothing but suitcase and a dream.
Evgeny was a professionally trained fighter, proficient in mixed martial arts. He was a son, a brother, a true friend, and a loving companion. He was a remarkable young man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He had a heart of gold, always willing to help anyone who needed it and fiercely protective of those who couldn't protect themselves. Evgeny had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued, no matter who they were. His loyalty and friendship were unwavering, and he had a smile and bright green eyes that could light up a room.
Despite his iconic exterior, Evgeny had a soft heart. He was a man of faith who never forgot his roots, his culture, or his family. He was deter-mined to be the best son, brother he could be, and he never wavered in his love and devotion to his loved ones.
Evgeny's passing has left a hole in the hearts of his family and friends that can never be filled. He is survived by his loving parents, elder broth-er, beautiful niece, and many family members and loyal friends who will miss him dearly. He will always be remembered as a kind and generous soul, a true fighter, and a dedicated companion.
A humble and meek graveside service was held on Thursday March 30 2023 and a candlelight ceremony and fireworks at the beach followed, where friends and family gathered to say their final goodbyes. All faiths were welcome to honor Evgeny's memory.
Evgeny may have been taken from us far too soon, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, dearest Evgeny. You will be forever missed.
