The world lost a bright spirit when Frank Copeland passed away on February 21, 2021. Our Dad was always full of life – so much so, that no one could imagine he would ever leave us. He was a man of fierce intelligence, great wit and boundless energy, with a sense of fun that never dimmed in spite of advancing years.

Frank was born in London and grew up during the Second World War in Leicester and Doncaster, England. He enlisted in the RAF at 18 and married the love of his...

I am saddened to hear of Frank,s passing. Frank and Margaret were our good friends and next door neighbours for many years in Edmonton, Alberta. They were truly missed when they moved to Vancouver Island. My condolences to Margaret, Jane, Lynne and John.

Frank (Mr. Copeland) was a huge part of my childhood as Lynne and I spent as much time at each other's houses as at our own.  He was always kind, funny and had lots of time to share with the ragamuffin crew, extolling the virtues of raising rabbits, describing what a hide was and other duck hunting tips, or  sharing stories of England and WWII dits. He was there to help fill a void after my own father's passing when I was a young girl and the quiet support and assisstance he gave to our family was greatly appreciated.  An excellent neighbour and even better friend, he will be missed by me and my Mom, Irene Sherwood.

I have many memories of Mr Copeland growing up. I remover him as being a talented cartographer, my dads hunting buddy, a great carpenter and a friend of my fathers. As I learned of his death this morning and couldn’t help but remember his visits to our home ( Steve and Anne Creighton) I am sorry for your loss.
