FREDERICK MICHAEL SHILOFF
1950 – 2023

Fred passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2023, at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 73 years.

Fred was born on March 2, 1950, at Brandon, MB, where he raised and educated. He married Yvonne Phillips in 1970. They later moved to B.C. residing at Surrey, Hope, Gibsons, Campbell River, Port Alberni and Qualicum Beach.

Fred was employed at Safeway and Real Cdn Superstore as meat manager. At Qualicum Beach he worked as manager of Qualicum Beach RV Park. He also worked at Petro-Can and Dolly’s Home Hardware.

Fred is survived by his wife Yvonne of 53 years, his daughter Rhonda(Kyle), Grandson Kevin and great grandson Mason Carruthers of Campbell River. Daughter Tammy(John), grandsons Ryan and Gavin of Nanaimo. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Pat Holliday, Alice Campbell, Margaret Thieffault, sister in-law Barbara Potter of Qualicum Beach, sister in-law Mary Myers of Wolseley, Sask, and brother in-law Ken Phillips(Ettie) of Langley, B.C. and special friend Donna Kersey.

Fred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place with a Memorial Service at a later date.
