Kerry Forman Obituary

Kerry Forman was born in Victoria to Gerry and Vivian Hallier. She left this world to dance with the Angels on February 19 with her son Brett, daughter Taryn, sonin-law Josiah and husband Dave by her side. After a short battle with an aggressive form of ALS, she is finally free of pain.
Kerry and Dave met on the Forbidden Plateau ski hill and it was love at first sight.
Kerry would drive up from Victoria and ski with Dave rain, snow or sunshine.
Dave would drive form Comox to Victoria to spend the weekends with Kerry. They were married on Sept. 29, 1984 in Comox, BC. They enjoyed many adventures with their children, including a year in Australia.
Kerry was an RN for many years and enjoyed nursing until she was sidelined by a brain tumour. She regretted not being able to return to nursing, as she loved it.
Kerry was an amazing mother, raising two wonderful children. She enjoyed doing everything with them: piano lessons, soccer, hiking and attending all their school functions. Her children’s weddings were a highlight for Kerry. This past Christmas season she enjoyed having Taryn and Brett close by and getting to know her first grandchild, Scarlett Marie Forman. This was the best thing that happened to her since her ALS diagnoses.
She will be greatly missed by Dave, Taryn, Josiah, Brett and daughter in-law Leah.
She will also be missed by the Forman & Homes family’s, her brother Dale Hallier, his wife Jane and their two children, Alexis and Erin, sister Lori and father Gerry.
Her nursing family will also miss Kerry. The nurses did zoom calls to brighten her mood and a few close nursing friends were able to come and visit her the week before her passing. She really appreciated their help and friendship. She will also be missed by a large group of friends, relatives and neighbours.
Special thanks to neighbours Di, Ron and Barb for helping out a lot in her last weeks with us.
Kerry was known to her beautiful smile and her willingness to help others. She would want you to hug and cherish your love ones as you never know what will happen in life.
Special thank you to Dr. Papo, Dr. Quinn, Dr. Hunter and the many other health care Doctors, Nurses and Health Care Workers who assisted us over the past year. Also special thanks to the Trillium Hospice staff for the kind and gentle care they provided to Kerry and Dave.
Thank you to the ALS Society, the Red Cross and the Parksville and Qualicum Legions for all the equipment support.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Society of BC. ALS is a cruel disease and she did her best to fight it off.
We miss her every day……
