Norman S Androsoff

In loving memory of Norman Samuel Androsoff 
May 19, 1933-June 5, 2023 

We are saddened to announce Norm's passing at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on June 5th. 
Norman's great grandparents came to Canada before Saskatchewan became a province and eventually claimed homesteads at Blaine Lake where they had the freedom to follow their motto of: "Toil and Peaceful Life," a tenet of their faith. 
Norman is predeceased by his grandparents, parents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and five brothers-in-law. 
He is survived by his wife, Ginger, sons Brant (Shawna, Tom and families), and Blair 
(grandchildren, Casey and Codey), his brothers Lionel (Faye), Sam (Pat), sister Sybil (Aaron) Remke and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as sisters-in-law, Wilma (Maurice) Solonynko, Sharleen Mino, Linda and Michelle Hughes and Paulette Mino. 
Norm's working years, although varied, centred mainly in the car business in both Saskatchewan and British Columbia. He established the first car lot in Parksville (M&M Sales) with the help of his sons and many loyal employees, especially faithful co-worker and friend, Norm McIntyre, over the years. He was agent for Budget Rentals for some time. 
Norm's pleasure was in finding the right vehicle for the right person and, of course, the best deal! Many locals may remember their first car came from Norm's lot. 
He wass always pleased to drive people to appointments, show visitors the area, or drive busloads of folks to various occasions and deliver them home safely. 
The annual car parade that passed by the family home, as it had for many years, on June 16th, was a fitting tribute for those who watched with the family. 
Curling remained a passion from Norm's early years and he was no stranger to many local rinks, broom in hand. He seldom missed any curling the TV provided for him as the years swept by. 
The swimming lessons he took as an adult at Island Hall afforded him a freedom undefined and never before experienced. 
The family wish to express their profound gratitude to paramedics, ambulance service, doctors, nurses and staff ofNRGH, to family, friends, neighbours for all of the thoughts, prayers and kindness of generous spirits, and to Qualicum Beach Memorial Services.
