Sandra Lynne Pritchard

It is with great sadness that we announce Sandra’s passing. She has gone to join her parents, Bert and Lenore, and her siblings, Claudia, Vernon (Sonny), Lois, Betty, Archie, Wayne and Daphne.

Sandra leaves to mourn her many (12) Pritchard nieces and nephews and (9) great nieces and nephews as well as her Bectell family including Colleen, Jeff, Elizabeth, Damon, Lindy, Rachel, Coulson and Tyler.

Sandra (known to her friends as Sandy) was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She moved to Victoria as a young girl, and completed her education at St. Ann’s Academy. Sandy moved to Calgary and completed a distinguished career with the University of Calgary, retiring as an Administrator of the Faculty of Continuing Education. After retiring in 1995, Sandy returned to her beloved West Coast and Qualicum Beach.

Sandy was a very social person, full of love, life and laughter. She shared her joie de vivre with her curling and golf buddies, and anyone who ventured into her circle. Her calling to be of service to others led to her contributions to Grandmothers to Grandmothers and the Trillium Auxiliary.

Special thanks to the Staff of Trillium Lodge for their care and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
