In Loving Memory Of
Steve Kozak
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Steve Kozak. His journey on this earth ended on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 with his family by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness and as we reflect on his life, we find solace in the countless cherished memories he created and the lives he enriched with his warmth, humour, and wisdom.
Steve was born on August 1, 1941 in Carmen, Manitoba. He built a beautiful life with his wife Gladys that included their two sons, Wes (Shannon) and Chris (Shauna) and two grandchildren, Brayden and Hanna. Over the years, Steve worked hard building a successful business and, through it, impacted the lives of many.
Steve lived life to the fullest, spending hours tinkering with his Model T, laughing with friends on the golf course, or tending his garden. He also loved exploring the countryside of Arizona, partaking in the odd happy hour with his friends. He faced his battle with cancer with strength and optimism and continued to build precious memories with his family until his final moments.
Special thanks to the dream team at Nanaimo General Hospital for their care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
